Disconnect all cables from the router except the power cord; Ensure that your router is on. Locate the reset button on the router, usually found on the back of the router in a pin sized hole between two triangles. Use a paper clip to press and hold the reset button for 10 to 15 seconds until all the lights on the router flash, then release. I am trying to setup an Ethernet connection far away from my original ASUS router (all 3 ASUS routers I’m using are RT-N12’s). So I have my original router connected to the network. I have another router connected to a 200’ cat5 patch cable set up as another router. Then I am trying to setup the third router as an access point to plug in.
